Samuel H. Baron (1921) es Profesor Emérito de Historia de la Universidad de Carolina del Norte en Chapel Hill. Autor e investigador de la historia política de Rusia, entre sus obras encontramos "Religion & Culture" (1997), "Bloody Saturday in the Soviet Union: Novocherkassk, 1962" (2001) o "Adventures in Russian Historical Research: Reminiscences of American Scholars from the Cold War to the Present" (2003).
